DualShock 3 in time for Christmas in Canada?

Dualshock 3

We had a few minutes to talk to Matt Levitan at the Sony PlayStation Holiday Preview event, and asked how the general state of things were in Canada for Sony.

He tells us that things are looking good, but when asked about the possibility of the new SKUs we’ve been seeing in other countries, or price drops, he couldn’t confirm or deny the possibility of anything. Pretty standard really, and what we expected. But hey, we wouldn’t be doing our jobs unless we asked!

We did get some information out of him though. In regards to the new DualShock 3 controller, while it has been fully announced, and amazingly the backwards compatibility with first generation PS3 games is remarkably high, we won’t be seeing the controller out on the market in Canada until, “at least January 2008 or later,” said Matt Levitan. Oh well, no rumbling stockings for you I guess.
