Alienware Area51-m9750 Review
April 28th, 2008 Posted in Alienware, Hardware, Review, Podcast
It’s been awhile since I’ve done anything, so here’s my contribution to VGM Daily; a review of the Alienware Area 51-m9750 laptop. Technically speaking it’s not even a real review either…just listen to find out why.

It’s a shame such a beast isn’t functioning as advertised.
One thing I don’t get is why people go for the Alienware brand of products. Most people that would buy an Alienware is sure to be somewhat tech savvy, and be able to build their own computer with the parts they want without being charged for the brand. Well paying for the brand isn’t a good description, it’s more like you are paying for the assembly and qc, but still *sigh*.

I don’t know about that…
Alienware is doing stuff with alot of there hardware that would require top notch tech savvy.
It’s one thing to be able to put together some hardware to make a PC, it’s a whole other to overclock a quad core CPU by 1 gig (per CPU), add the proper amount of cooling, create your own software to monitor that overclock (and keep everything stable).
On their lower level models you’re probably right, but there benchmark systems are much harder to put together, and definitely out of the realm of all but the most tech savvy.
